Night Sweats
Do you have them? How bad are they? I'm soaking pillows, my bed, changing pjs couple times a night. Just so tired of it.

Hmm... I'm exercising at the gym from above one year with little breaks. Last two weeks I fall in sick and have a break. I've noticed in this time a night sweat, so I could correlate that with(out) working out.
Just try to take a walk before going to bed or better start exercising at the gym!
I do the hula hooping and tricks (minus the drugs, furry clothes and festivals) plus walking for workouts. The hooping is a decent work out. I think I might just be a freak :(
idk why but it happened to me like for a week, it was terrible feeling, i literally woke up in wet bed, pillow, bed sheets etc
luckily it stopped itself.
it is usually connected with mental disorders, severe stress etc
Somehow I knew you'd be the one to reply! Last time I saw a PA she tried to give me birth control for my hyperhidrosis symptoms, as I went in again for a sweating solution.
its kinda funny that yet to this very day human body and its reactions arent truly learned
a lot of diseases or problems arent currently explainable and doctors just guess around what would help u
I think mine was a side effect to a med I was taking. It was terrible! I started sleeping on towels to save my sheets. I stopped taking that med and the sweating stopped.
I wish I had a med to blame it on. I just thought it was something to do with the hyperhidrosis. It doesn't seem like many here have this issue in a regular basis though.
Yes!! I’ll wake up feeling so nasty with moist clothes. I got no solution though :(
Yup. When we strip down my bedsheets to wash one pillow is stained yellow while the other is normal. You can guess which one is mine. It’s pretty gross. It’s not just the pillow either. My entire side of the bed it’s stained from my sweating.
I feel your pain. But unfortunately don’t have a solution :,(
I had ETS (surgery to stop hand sweating). I have night sweats very regularly (I’d say about 5 of 7 nights a week). I usually wake up about 3-4 hours after falling asleep and the sheets are wet (some times soaked sometimes just damp. not usually pillow but it does happen). Here’s what I do...
throw a towel down and flip around to the other side of the bed (head goes where feet were).
wicked sheets - moisture absorbing / wicking sheets. They tend to dry a bit faster than cotton.
I use flat sheets to cover the bed which can be changed super fast. As opposed to the kind that are stretchy at the corners.
I have two blankets in the bedroom (because a cold wet blanket SUCKS). I wouldn’t mind having 3 or more even. When I change it I hang it over a chair to air it out.
I sometimes wear very light / loose fitting cotton pjs. Just started experimenting with cooljams and other fabrics.
I bought and tried a chilipad. It’s like a mini-fridge that circulates cold or hot water through a bed topper. Imagine a cool mattress pad underneath you. It works but my issue is when I sweat then I got too cold. I have to play around more with it / figure out a way to have it shut off if I do start sweating so I don’t get freezing.
shower a lot.
Do you get sick more often because you are cold at night? Haven’t heard other people talking about it but it’s something I think could lower the immune system a bit (just a theory could be wrong).
Just a heads up, if you have coughing with it, or significant unintentional weight loss (more than 15%) associated with these symptoms, please see your doc. TB/Malignancy could present with night sweats.
Zero coughing, but I did just drop two jean sizes......but I'm active too so not sure if that's a big drop or not.
The important thing here is intentional vs unintentional. If you haven't been doing any extra work (intentionally working out extra to lose weight or working harder) and lost that weight, I'd have it checked out asap.
I have an appt Monday. I imagine they will say, no fever, blood looks fine, get over it. (Again)
Wish you all the best. I hope they find nothing.
