PC randomly tries to connect to other PCs on the network on it's own. What's happening?

My PC will sometime give me this error message out of the blue. What could be causing this? I am also often getting messages that Windows was "unable to connect to my mapped network drive (NAS)" when I've never tried to connect to it in the first place. Is something spamming my network to try an access other PCs?
