I think it is interesting that Republicans constantly rail about FAKE news, especially regarding insightful and reasoned articles like this one--just simple facts and questions about the future of their policies and no answers are forthcoming. As the article points out, it is necessary to plan in detail when making major changes because... well, because it is actually hard to do without causing harm or discord somewhere. Just about the time elections rolls around in 2018, this house of cards may come tumbling down. Governing and politics aren't something you can manhandle into obedience like you might a dog. Politics and governing are complex skills that are an art unto itself. Republicans are just house painters who can't even put a nice coat of paint on the front door.
The Trump administration will roll out an infrastructure plan in January, White House Director of Legislative Affairs Marc Short said Sunday on Fox News. While the way such a plan would be paid for is unclear, the plan is likely to cost upwards of $1 trillion.
GOP - the party of spendthrifts. As with Bush Jr, this administration engages in an irresponsible fiscal policy.

It depresses me that they can essentially just come out and say "We need to bamboozle them first, then we can fuck them" and it's fine.
They don't even bother to conceal their intentions any more. Time to remove them all from office.
I've heard my Republican friends talk about how they don't need insurance because a hospital can't turn you away. But that's only partially true. Because of the EMTALA bill, a hospital can't turn you away if that hospital accepts Medicare/Medicaid.
If they get rid of Medicare, they are potentially getting rid of the only healthcare that some people will be able to receive (once ACA is fully dismantled).
I understand Republicans want limited government... but I don't think they realize it looks like the Great Depression when they get their wish.
Are these 'tax is theft' folks? The guys who whine they shouldn't have to pay for other peoples' health care? Because guess what? Other people will be forced to pay for their health care when they bail on their medical bills. So much for the party of personal responsiblity.
Kind of, but not in the way you think. It's more like "the government takes people away from the church. If they don't have the government to turn to, then they will turn to the church, bringing more people to God."
Pay into a system your entire adult life only for the Republicans to fuck you out of it. Why even have a society?
