This probably is old news to pretty much everyone... But...
Mrs. Hugie Lewis and I paid an overdue visit to BKS this afternoon, and they did not disappoint. I'd tried several of their beers before, but damn. They have a great, if small taproom. Fantastic vibe, fantastic beer.
Don't sleep on BKS.

Honestly the best new brewery in KC. I They haven't been open long at all and already rival Cinder Block, Torn Label, and Double Shift in my opinion.
Tried the blonde out of a can at a friend's - really nice! Hoppier than style, but a great beer!
Been wanting to get by there for awhile now. Glad to hear it's good. Do they still have bottles to go?
They had bottles of 2 sours available, and cans of an English Mild when we were there.

Also, is the taproom only open on Saturday?
I believe that is the case right now unfortunately. I was lucky enough to get off work early enough that day, and had to pay a visit out of professional curiosity.
I just wish they were open more than 4 hours a week. Would love to go but literally can't if you work Saturdays at all...
It is a shame. And the times they are open, they can reach capacity pretty quick....
I've enjoyed it the couple times I've been, but kept my visits short and no longer advertise it out to friends due to capacity limitations.
