The Grudge
When I hold a grudge, I don't budge.
But don't judge me.
I'll come around soon enough, trust me.
But don't rush me.

I like it. It's very concise and to the point. I also like how you sell yourself in a somewhat relatable way.
Thanks bookdefender777!
The title of this piece caught my attention. I like your rhymes of "grudge" "budge" and "judge". The only thing I might suggest is taking out the "But" at the beginning of the lines. You will still have a parallelism of words and there will being more of an authoritarian tone of a person operating on their own timeline rather than one of excusal. Still a great piece.
Thanks again! I'm taking your thoughts into consideration to see how it flows.
I just noticed you were the same author of the last piece I read and responded to and it was that title that caught my attention too. Ha ha! Great job!
Thanks, mate!
Hi! I like the simplicity and the use of rhyme/assonance with the u sounds. I think the rhythm/flow of this piece is important so I’d suggest making the first lines of each stanza match each other better in terms of syllables and rhythm. “Come around” doesn’t feel like the right verb to me, and it kind of seems to contradict the not budging. Though I guess you can let go of a grudge and it’s just when you’re holding that you don’t budge. Maybe contrast the holding onto with letting go? Also would be clutch to add a third rhyme to the second stanza. The first has grudge//budge//judge. The parallel structure could be stronger with (something)//trust//rush
A lot of this feedback is about strengthening an already solid piece.
Thank you for this great feedback, Techgiraffe. I'm not sure yet what I could replace "Come around" with. I focused on the short "u" sound for the rhymes, so the word "come" seemed to fit. This is also the thinking with the grudge/budge/judge and enough/trust/rush, but I do agree that the the flow is stronger in the first stanza. I am taking your other comments into consideration as well. Thanks again.
