My gas piston pistol seems to need 5 or 6 warm up shots before it shoots accurately. Is this common?

I keep my Benjamin trail NP pistol in the garage which is where my trap is too. Here in PA that means its pretty cold right now. It seems like the first 5 or so shots are a little wild, then it starts driving tacks.

It might need a good cleaning. Especially if it's new. Manufacturers will leave anti rust stuff in the barrels of some guns so they don't rust on the shelf or during transport.

I have this pistol, never happened to me, but I keep mine in worm place. Cold temperature should not affect nitron piston, but it night be worth to try to keep it in your flat to see if it will change something.

I cleaned mine and and have 5-7 hundred pellets though it.

It probably is the temp and it just warms up. But I know that a lot of shooters keep their guns in the garage or basement or on the porch so the scope does not fog. wonder if any of those folks have seen this.
