Thoughts on overhauled spectator UI

Discussion

What is everyone's opinion on the new spectator UI?

Personally it feels like a stepback but that may just be me resisting change. Way too distracting for my liking.

With all of the new colors I was disappointed that the pop-up showing operators left alive wasn't colored as well. Considering it changes based on who is currently being spectated I figured coloring them orange and blue would be a good move.

I do not like the operator portraits, but I can live with them and from a viewers standpoint I can see why it’s done. The white score box is a bit out of place to me but it does draw your eye right to it. The operator icon fade when killed is wonderful. I like the health bar segments on the operator information panel.

Overall 8/10; an improvement.

I like the fact that it takes less space and also is more visible specially in low resolutions, in the old one the amount of bullet or the gun name were too small and hard to see

Not a huge fan, has its benefits but I definitely find it more distracting

i love it, i wish standard support mode looked like that especially the 4 bars for health, i don't see how a still image can distract you from siege action.

Love the new hard background color up at the team operator icons. Although I want that in the normal player HUD more than in spectator mode. Hate the current version, as I consistently confuse how many opponents are left.

But the hard color at the individual operator profile pics/weapons etc. is very distracting. It could be more faded.

The scoreboard is awful. But besides that, they added a lot of good stuff.

EDIT: I wish they‘d add the spectating into the game so you can watch casted matches from every perspective you want, like in csgo.

I want the transparency back in the UI, and I also greatly dislike the scores now, it looks childish and very much like it was done in MS paint.

The operator pictures are unnecessary, but kind of cool. Having a pro player's picture there would probably be cooler.

Always good to see feedback. :)

Is there any particular feature you think should be added, or you think should be removed?

Solid colors in the UI is very distracting and the operator picture is quite large . Not sure why they decided to include the operator image vs logo because for new people watching, your not going to see the operator logo at all during the match, but the logo will always be there on the top. I do enjoy how well the new health system looks like.

Not to be a debbie downer, but I don't like anything about the new spectator UI. The numbers on the white square background + the pointless operator portrait don't really look professional imo. I was fine with the old spectator UI for the most part. I wish they gave us more camera angles to watch the action from besides just 1st person and the top down view.

My only real issue is there used to be little arrows above or below the op icons if they weren't on the same floor as the currently spectated player, but now they're gone seemingly for no reason. From a casting perspective all this update did was make it shinier and make my job a little tougher. Also the "match point" text has a huuuuge drop shadow that covers the round timer.
