Optimistic

My world dissolves,
Like cotton candy
Kissing your tongue;
Like momma’s fingers
Lost in the forest
of your hairs.

Sleep hits abruptly;
in an instant,
I am home.

This world I come to,
every night.
When I awake,
it’s all forgotten.
But for now,
I am everything.

The long blades of grass
Twirl and tangle my fingers.
Snow-capped mountains
greet the rising sun
with a golden hue,
Starkly contrasting their violet shadows.

Behind me,
the ocean has yet to wake up.
It’s omnipresent fragrance
tugs at my nose.
In this moment,
I am alive.

Rubbing my tired eyes,
I’m lost in thought,
Wondering what great things
I’m going to accomplish today.

This world
All of it’s beauty
It’s all mine.

Rough draft of something I’m working on. I know that a lot of words and lines need to be changed, I just wanted to know what you thought about the general design :)

Edit: I realized that I used “omniscient” when I meant to use “omnipresent”.
