Me too. I smiled because I relate as well. I hate cherry tomatoes

I love the simplicity of this poem, taking a more mundane experience and turning it into something with rhythm, and I think the rhyme and line structure really adds to it! 

I too love the simplicity of this poem, the rhymes are simple yet so sweet and have such a ring to them. I can not help but read it with expression and a sort of jingle. Good work. Btw, cherry tomatoes suck.

"Strange how the surface had not a fold, but the inside was full of mold" kinda reminds me of humans 

I love this. poetry is often something serious and deep, it's nice to get a refreshing funny one.

This is nice and funny! I feel the very last line ends a little abruptly; at least, the way I read it in my head, the last line sort of broke the flow. Maybe add a few more words? Either way, really good job!!

I loved the little rhymes, like "shiny and smooth" along with "an irregular groove." Or perhaps "something wasn't right," and "the surface was tight," and "the insides were white," all woven together. 

One more thing: at first I thought the tomato would be poisoned and "he" would die, but a sense of mystery is planted in this lovely little poem that made me fall in love with it the second I read the last line.

Cherry tomatoes are gross, 
I hate them the most, 
My friend was eating one; the outside shiny and smooth, 
Not even an irregular groove.

He took a bite, something wasn't right, 
How could it be? The surface was tight, 
He spat it out, the insides were white!

Strange how the surface had not a fold, 
But the inside was full of mold.
