Title: Death‘s lonely poem

First stanza: 8 syllables, second is 7 and third is 6.

Death is meant figuratively, nobody gets or will get harmed here, except sadly my best friend :(

I think you did a great job evoking emotion in the reader. Your rhyming was efforrless.  What i heard was that when your friend died so did part of you, that pain was palpable in reading this. really heartbreaking.

Very nice, I like the start and ending. I think you could even leave the middle out and evoke a strong message.

sky  
/  
Its lonely mates can‘t fly so high  
x/ x/ x/ x/  
This timeless tree falls to die  
x/ x/ /x /  
Its friends had no time to sigh

The varied meter works against the monorhyme. You could either change the meter to something more consistent or remove the end rhymes. Speaking of rhyming, that last line feels pretty forced due to the odd grammar. On a positive note, I think the first stanza is nice and reminiscent of Chinese and Japanese poetry. Maybe you could leave it as a haiku and elicit the emotions you want through nature imagery rather than specifying that you are talking about Travis.
