T-Top clear win. JC has a terrible habit of pausing for reaction and praising himself for a bar. JC can be a great writer but thats not the only ingredient to being a great battle rapper, and T Top showed that in this battle. Not a body, but definitely clear unless you're a die hard biased JC fan.

After my first listen of this battle, I just wanna say that I really enjoyed it. This will probably be my favorite battle of Traffic. They both got up there and did exactly what they do best so this was a treat for me. I think Top and JC are two of the most deserving top tiers but that's another story.
In terms of rounds, I personally felt that Top got it 2-1. I felt his first round hit harder than JC's, but JC always has a couple of bars every round that are haymakers regardless of you catch it or not. Top really benefited from going first I think because he started strong and got the crowd behind him early (with that cringe worthy Kenneka bar scheme). I gave the second to JC because his bars were both creative and felt a bit personal. And he really held back on his typical Friday and other popular movie references, (although he did have a few) and gave some quality bars and name flips. The 1 40 or 2 80s Twitter bar might be my favorite of the battle. Top showed up the 2nd round too, so I guess I understand the 3-0 chants but I agreed with JC and that fan that he won that round. The third was clear to me before JC got to rap, which was unfair because he did have a strong 3rd. This is another reason I felt Top took advantage of going first because following that 3rd round would have been hard for anyone. The crowd was behind him for pretty much the whole round. He had some solid JC flips that I enjoyed and he had some of my favorite JC dancing bars which are two impressive points to me because everyone does both of those things when they battle JC. And although I saw the dance battle coming, I still enjoyed every second of it. Good shit to both battlers. I honestly was starting to get bored of battle rap lately but this battle brought me right back. I love this shit at the highest level and I think they both brought their A game. Of course T Top has a lot of filler sometimes but his punches hit so I can let that go. JC has an amazing talent for battle rapping and his pen is top 5 easy. He didn't so much lose this battle to me as Top won it. Either way, I am grateful.

I personally thought T-Top started that round slow. I don't think it picked up until the Quran line but everything after that was crazy. I also thought JC's 2nd round was his best so I have JC winning it but it's still close

Man, I don't trust anything until I see it for myself these days. I was expecting to see a bodybag and instead I got a debatable.
You really can't judge a battle until you watch it on camera - so many guys win "in the building" but their bars don't stand up to scrutiny in the cold light of day.

As far as angles go, T-Top is top 5 right now imo. So damn good at breaking people down.

Debatable 3-0. I could see someone giving JC the first, but honestly that's the closest round and I still edge it to Top. Felt like JC didn't say anything in his 2nd or 3rd.
That being said, this is a pretty great battle. Definitely going to rewatch a couple times.

I knew the battle was gonna look closer than everyone made it out to be, but not by that much. This was one of JC's weaker performances to me. I got T-Top 1st and 3rd. Top's 2nd round didn't pick up until the Quran line, but I could still see this being a 3-0 no body bag

Man, JC's pen game is so next level but his performance and delivery is average at best. He really could be one of the best in the game if he was more entertaining to watch. He better step that shit up if he ever wants Lux to take the bait & accept his challenge that's for sure.

For anyone that has JC winning this battle, can you please cite specific lines or moments that JC had throughout the rounds that have you giving him the W? I've seen quite a few "JC 2-1" comments for this battle, but so far, I haven't seen anyone really cite any specific material from JC in this battle to make a case for him beating T-Top.

Noah bar and auctions setup in the first we're crazy. Outside of crowd hype I didn't feel much from Too, the sativa bar was way gas'd.

It was closer than people made it out to be. It was by no means a 3-0 slaughter like people tried dishing. JC to me took the first easy and edged the 2nd. Top's content for the most part was not original and the angles were tired as fuck. How many times can someone make a JC/Jesus Christ flip and say something about his old ass dance video before more people realize how tired that shit is

T-Top's approach wasn't original but neither was JC's. Bar for bar or performance Top took that easy.

Yeah, performance. But bar for bar? Nah. At least JC didn't use tired angles. I enjoyed his content more for that simple reason. I don't know why yall are dickriding Top. He didn't say shit that had my jaw dropped or made me even react quite frankly besides maybe 2 things in his 3rd. I'm not even saying he's trash but he was not as nice as people are gassing.
