Need a ball between Hy-Road Nano and Tropical Storm

Gear

I'm a tweener that sometimes has trouble with the Hy-Road Nano hooking too much and my Tropical Storm not hooking enough. Which ball would you recommend thats right in the middle of those?

I bowl about 15-16 mph (at the pins). I usually start on the left half of the lane (between boards 25 and 40) and aim for 2nd or 3rd arrow from the right. I'm not sure what my rev rate is, but if I had to guess probably around 350. There are definitely some guys at my lanes with higher revs and quite a few with lower revs.

I'm going to go out in the line here and say. Maybe take a look at the Storm SonIQ.

I was actually just watching Luke's video on it. My thoughts are that it may be too strong...

I got a couple videos posted on Reddit. Yes it can be strong. When I got it I was like wtf just happened cause of how strong it is. If anything just go all your PSO which ball you should get.

I was thinking SonIQ at first too, but that's a ball to open lanes with, not change to when lanes break down. A nice smooth transition into something with more control in dryer lanes.

The Hy-Road, especially if it's shined up, would work here.

Just go with a HyRoad pearl. Instead of a shined up hyRoad.

I have been reading into the Hy-Road Pearl, and it looks like it might be a little too much too. It’s the most aggressive Hy-Road next to the nano, the normal Hy-Road is right where my Wise Man is, very balanced and works well in the semi dry areas.

Take a look at the Roto Grip Wreck-Em or the All Out Show Off. Both should give you more length that can still give you good reaction in the backend when the lanes start to transition. I personally have the Wreck Em and use it under my Dare Devil Trick. It works well in game 3 and still gives a strong turn on the backend.

I use the Wreck'em in conjunction with the Hy-Road. The Wreck'em will actually hook more than my Hy-Road but as you said, the extra length really helps get through the transition.

I actually want to see a Hy-Road Nano Pearl, using the same cover as the Virtual Gravity Nano Pearl, but with the Hy-Road core. That would balance out the Hy-Road Nano really well.

My Wise Man would be perfect here. But a ball to compare that with?

A mid level Shiny Symmetric Pearl, something with a smooth controllable roll. I'd probably go with a normal Hy-Road or Hy-Road Pearl.

The Hustle Ink might fill that spot nicely. Also great bang for the buck as it shouldn't be more than $130ish drilled at most . Dare Devil Danger may also be worth a look but it seems to be a bit of a love/hate ball (love mine) from reviews I've seen . Good luck and always best to see what your PSO suggests as they (hopefully) know your game.

Thanks for the suggestions. My PSO was out of town watching his son in the finals at the PBA Players Championship, but I plan to get his advice when he is back.

EDIT: I just checked out RotoGrip's website and the Lane Comparison widget on the side is amazing. Does anyone know of anything like that to compare Storm (or other brands) balls?
