Picked up this beauty in September. Basically my dream truck. Took it for a weekend trip to a cabin in the North GA mountains in early December for my birthday weekend (and the Steelers @ Falcons game). Rodents chewed the knock sensor wiring harness overnight. Took to the dealership and knock sensor harness is on backorder with no current ETA. Please keep me in your thoughts as I continue to have no 4Runner for the foreseeable future. At least insurance is covering it.
I have slowly upgraded my rig throughout this year in anticipation of the 3000 series cards from Nvidia. I don't believe I'll be able to get a 3080 any time soon due to stock issues, so potentially will have the choice between the 3070 and 3080 once they are in stock.
I have seen some concern that some CPUs may bottleneck the 3080 and I may be better off just saving the extra $200 and going with the 3070. Would my rig below bottleneck the 3080 for 1440p 144hz gaming?
My rig (copied and pasted so shows all components):
-
MSI X570-A PRO
-
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
-
32GB DDR4 3200mhz
-
Seasonic Focus GX-750
-
EVGA GTX 1060 FTW 6GB
-
1TB Sabrent Rocket PCI 4.0 M.2 SSD (OS and Game Library)
I have been focusing on my front yard. Only maintenance in back yard has been mowing. These grass like weeds have taken over half the back yard and I’d like to learn what get are so I can prepare to take care of them.
I'm a fairly new bowler. I joined a summer league after not bowling since youth league 17 years ago. I started with a 150 average and ended the 13 week league with a 169 average. I was up to 180 at one point before I started changing some things with my approach. I really enjoyed it and bowled my first 600 series (a 663!) and won highest handicap series for the season.
I've currently got the following in my bag:
-
Storm Hyroad Nano - first out of the bag and usually used most of the first two games. Sometimes used for all three games depending on how I'm feeling while throwing it.
-
Storm Son!q - I usually end up finishing the night with this ball once I start hitting too light.
Anyone have any recommendations for shoes in size 15? Most shoes that I see recommended go up to size 14.
I'll be participating in another sport shot tournament this Sunday. I did my first one a few weeks ago and averaged about 140 (dragged down by an 86 game where I just lost a feel for the lanes and got frustrated.)
They release the pattern the day before the event, so I'm not sure yet what it will be. The last tournament was a 37' flat pattern.
I've been bowling since December and I consider myself a tweener, leaning towards cranker as I've worked on raising my rev-rate lately, which is probably in the medium to medium-high range. My speed is right around 16mph at the pins. My current arsenal is a Tropical Storm, a Hyroad Nano, and a Son!q. I'm looking for advice on which ball, bet
I'm a tweener that sometimes has trouble with the Hy-Road Nano hooking too much and my Tropical Storm not hooking enough. Which ball would you recommend thats right in the middle of those?
I bowl about 15-16 mph (at the pins). I usually start on the left half of the lane (between boards 25 and 40) and aim for 2nd or 3rd arrow from the right. I'm not sure what my rev rate is, but if I had to guess probably around 350. There are definitely some guys at my lanes with higher revs and quite a few with lower revs.
First, a little bit about myself. I bowled for 3 or 4 years on a youth league until I was about 16. Then took a 16 year break. I've been back into bowling for a couple months now. I haven't joined a league, but I've been bowling a couple times a week and my average is probably somewhere near 180 right now. I currently have a Storm Hy-road Nano, a Storm Tropical, and the Ebonite Nitro urethane that I used back in youth league.
There is a local grind tournament near me tomorrow. It's 6 games across 6 lanes with a sport shot pattern that will be announced the morning of. I'd like to give it a shot but don't want to make a fool of myself. Any advice? Anything I should know going in?
