March Challenge - Barbell Finger Curl
#The Barbell Finger Curl
Congratulations to u/avastyematey and u/villageblacksmith for top pinch times in last month's challenge. Your flair will be awarded shortly.
This month we'll be doing finger curls for a 5 rep max. The form and setup is shown in this video.
#The Rules:
- Men use a barbell at least 28 mm in diameter (no deadlift bars). Women may use a 25 mm weightlifting bar. May start with the bar on the ground, in a rack, on blocks or whatever.
- Start at the top w/ a closed overhand grip, lower the weight until your first knuckle is fully extended and vertical, curl the weight all the way back up to a closed fist with the fingers.
- Score will be weight x reps (up to 5 reps), so it would behoove you to get 5 reps.
- Film at or below waist height for clear judging, preferably at a lateral 45° angle. Keep the entire weight in frame. Sample Submission.
- Top 2 contestants will have special flair in r/griptraining, as well as have their names recognized in the sidebar for the foreseeable future.
- Post any questions/conversations here.
##Prizes
