The word choice works well here, it's fun and interesting. It evokes an image, but leaves me wanting a bit more story here. Tbh it sounds a bit voyeuristic, not sure what to make of the "sleepy" in quotes. Formatting could use a bit more consistency (capitalization, @/at, &/and, punctuation). "Lemon colored" is a keeper.

I agree with /u/SavannahsBananas on everything. Lemon colored gave a great image. I feel like if "at" is "@", then why is "and" not "&"? I also am not getting much out of the quotes around sleepy. I feel like the implication is that they are not actually sleepy, but, maybe high? Or, idk, they sleep around, like, cause they're nymphs? That's probably not it, but I really can't tell. 


So this next thing is nit-picky, but because haiku tends to be a highly visual form. Also maybe your were trying to center the middle line? But it doesn't look centered. And I think that's because there are 21 characters on the top line and 26 on the line below, which means there has to be one extra character on one side or another. You would have to add or remove and odd number of characters to the middle for a perfect center-align (as the first and last line are). Or I would just align it right or left.

In addition to all that I think "The nymphs @ the beach" is a really catchy first line— definitely m

I like the fact you used an @ symbol instead of the word, I haven't seen that done before.

A modern Haiku
