Like A Cherry Blossom
Like a cherry blossom, I am pushed to fall
Where home may be harder than the road yet the
sweet return
Is the kiss of dirt, an end to roaming starts
With a red-faced mode of vagrants-in-tangles who
Search for a breezy peace in wind-blown hearths,
Make footed love
With star-scapes above.
Yet the teardrop lilies never blush the soil,
Petals wilt upon smudging the toile in
wet-on wet coups:
Of dreams for rambling voisins seeking l’entrée,
Of ease from the ageless siege des nuits étoilées.
The colors soften, then open: a moment to an
acrylic toll
On a stain-pane dole.
