I need to cross reference some ball joints to check compatibility for an aftermarket application (fancy pants off road stuff, no it won't fit on your Jeep). The Napa website used to publish taper diameters and length but doesn't anymore.
Anyone know of another source for these specs?

the people at rareparts used to be friendly to at least some of my friends who needed info..
you might want to also talk to older counter men at napa.. see if they have any ball joint catalogs in print.. especially older versions ..

I'll look into this. I don't know why I didn't think of this myself.
They are pretty specific to the intended vehicle application. There may be some overlap but not enough to justify going through the process. They are very much the same but also very different.
We're talking about standalone "press it into a knuckle" style ball joints for truck applications here. There's plenty of overlap between applications.
