winter's on a smoke break

sunlight on my face  
now I feel awake  
and I can see the trees  
they feel it too  
sunshine on the lake  
makes me think of days  
days just out of reach  
nights spent on the beach  
never thought I'd want  
an itch so bad as  
sand between my toes
