Seeking Heaven‘s Darkness

I sing to night a sweet song
Caress it with hopeful hand
To entomb a bitter wrong
In an hourglass of sound

Just like a sailor‘s rudder
Can you steady season‘s shift
Twixt life and silent utter
And close nature‘s gaping rift

That I with Travis may fly
And place hope upon his wings
In a future that won‘t die
In a darkness where light sings
