They’re definitely my favorite team.

Personally, I think the AFC favorites are perenially the Pats until Brady finally calls it quits.

That being said, I look forward to five months of NFL 'analysts' slobbering all over the Texans because they have a rapidly declining JJ Watt, Honey Badger and a young QB who looked good in 7 games last year. They still have no O-Line and that will cripple their beloved #4 sooner than later. Miraculous stuff. I'll gladly recant if Watson turns out to be the real deal, but pump the brakes until we see whether or not he is capable of adjusting to defenses actually knowing what to do to make life difficult for him.

Hell, I could sooner make a case for the Tits being the favorite sooner than the Texans.

This is my feelings exactly. They are gonna be the trendy pick among analysts for sure. It's like us after 2015. There's things to be excited about but they shouldn't be picked to win the division by any reasonable person

MisterFrearWill the real Blake Bortles please stand up?•

Remember how much everyone loved the Titans in the preseason and then shut the fuck up about week 5 when it became apparent they were kind of awful? Good times.

Let's be honest, there really wasn't any "Good Times" for the Jags when it came to the Tits last year. You should have wanted their record to be better so those two loses don't look so bad.

Let's be honest. It doesn't matter who you beat if you suck against everybody else. They had our number but they weren't a good team much like the Cardinals playing their divisional rivals tough despite being a shit team.

I haven’t really seen anyone pick the Texans over the Jags. Everybody seems to like what’s going on and the moves they’re making, but no one seems to have them as favorites to take the whole division. Jacksonville’s D appears to be the next Legion of Boom so no one is really betting against it.

No. The Patriots are.

Pitt is also a better overall team than us, I'd say, even though we swept them. We just match up great with them.

But, holy shit, we might be the third best team in the AFC. Thats fuckin' nuts.

It's not that crazy when you think about who the 4th best team is. But at least we're in that top 3.

MogwaiKLogo•

Its hard to place whos 4th place...the Chiefs have a lot of question marks, the Chargers could be it, but they never seem to live up to their own hype - maybe this is the year, though, the Bills/Phins have way too many question marks, the Ravens can't beat good teams, the Titans got rolled in the playoffs.

I don't even know. It could be any of em.

It is crazy to think about, but I also would warn everybody that the division will be much tougher this year and the Jags schedule next year is going to be really difficult. There will be 6 battles in division games (opposed to just 2 last year), then the Jags also play New England, Pittsburgh, Philly, Washington, @ Buffalo, @ Kansas City, and @ Dallas. Finishing 10-6 through this schedule will be infinitely more impressive than the 10-6 the Jags finished with this past season.

What's nice though is only Pittsburgh and KC are unique matchups and KC probably isn't the toughest matchup out of the AFCW this year. Everybody in the AFCS has Dallas, Washington, Philly, New England

That's true, but just saying in terms to comparing it to the rest of the AFC who may not have as difficult of a schedule. I just hope the Jags get some of these tougher teams early in the season. The Patriots are much easier to beat from Weeks 1-4 compared to at the end of the season. Plus getting them in the Florida heat would be an advantage for the Jags

Yea, agreed. Itll be tougher. I actually think we'll be a better team next year, though.

We really need depth on defense, though. Can't imagine we stay as healthy.

It’s the Patriots until they’re beaten.

To be the best, you got to beat the best.

Patriots will always be the favorites. I don't care that they lot Amendola, Lewis, a few guys on the OL, some defensive players, and might lose Gronk. Brady has proven that he can win regardless of who is around him.

I also think the Jags need to add another WR and/or TE. I really like the addition of ASJ and I know ARob isn't really considered a loss since the Jags won without him last year anyways, but they really lacked a play-making receiving threat. Hopefully Cole steps up, Moncrief is an upgrade for Hurns, and ASJ has a big year. I still want to see a 1st or 2nd round pick spent on a WR/TE though

We should be close but with Bortles at QB we'll never be favorites. People love the defense but QB not so much.
