Genesis 6:3 reads:

3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

Yet later on in Genesis it is written that ages exceed 120 years. The descendants of Shem (lived 602 years) include Arpachsbad (438 years), Shelah (433 years), Eber (464), and so on.

Terah, the father of Abraham, lived 205 years (Genesis 11:31). What is the meaning of Genesis 6:3, then?

I was dead set on Alabama (Presidential scholarship) but parent's insistence on a 'mid range' between Bama and the other option (Truman). I got a thing in the mail for South Carolina and apparently they have a fantastic international business program.

Alabama does not. I was planning to do accounting there. Should I look more into SC, or just go for Alabama now?

I've been concerned recently that accounting -- which you need a CPA license to actually practice -- is a field that doesn't really prioritize college prestige. If I have a CPA, I obviously know how to audit.

So, after looking at sticker prices (UT Austin & Tulane in particular) I' m not sure it's worth the investment when places like Rolla and Mizzou offer substantially smaller fees for what should be the same education.

So UT Austin offers a five-year course in accounting, the integrated MPA.

"The integrated MPA (iMPA) is a 5-year program designed for current McCombs undergraduates. iMPA students earn a BBA degree in accounting and a Master in Professional Accounting degree. Students save both time and money by taking several graduate courses at undergraduate tuition rates."

Is this something to look into, or should I continue to go around with more four-year programs at other schools?

I'm decently good -- 1480 sat & 3.7 or something gpa -- and was looking for Tulane for an accounting/law focus. Is it respected as a national university? Is it a 'real school' or just the Louisiana equivalent of Mizzou?
