The Seat of Idris the Giant
I once had a dream where I could see forever,
Sat upon a mountain cadair,
Draped in sunlight so thick, like golden fog,
A warm and glorious summit,
I was a Giant amongst soft green grass upon the peak,
sat still,
An azure lake was like an endless ocean below me,
And yet from it’s shores the terra of all Continents rose to fill,
a landscape with all degrees and latitudes within it,
the whole world,
The bluest sky hung above, a mirror of the water below,
Yet just as I come to know
the sight,
Idris blinks, and an endless night is aloft,
A billion stars in sudden array as if scattered by the Giants hand,
Close enough to feel their ancient light cast upon his Hippodrome Earth
(the humans land)
Then I awake,
Returned,
As a man.

I hope my feedback is ok, I know pretty much nothing about the intricacies/technicalities of poetry so it’s pretty basic feedback. I wrote this poem based upon a dream I had.
