How this isn't already a thing nationwide is beyond me.

Wherever I've been in the UK I am routinely put in danger or pissed off by taxidrivers breaking every driving law they possibly can.

As a former minicab driver I am fully behind this.

It was ridiculously easy to get the licence. The only test I had to do is a 20 quid map reading competence test. That basically involved me showing that I'm able to use a map book (A-Z).

One good thing about London PH vehicles is that they have to go through 2 MOTs a year, which goes someway to ensure that at least the vehicles are of a safe-ish standard!

If it teaches asians in Priuses not to hog the outside lane of the M11 doing 68mph, I'm all for it.

I really don't get Ubers very often but I've had two drivers tell me they took it up after being fired from other driving jobs. One from Waitrose and one from tfl buses

Do they actually need a test or just stricter enforcement?

I've passed my standard test and technically know that I probably shouldn't do U-turns in some of the places I do (e.g. avoiding no right turn signs by crossing the junction -> u turn -> left turn).

I do them anyway because it saves me time.

Can't see it being much different with professional drivers to be honest. If anything they're more likely to bend the rules because they're on the clock.

Good. They keep trying to kill me.
