Skitarii as cultists?

Anyone make Chaos Cultists out of Skitarii Rangers? I want some Thousand Sons cultists, and the regular ones look far too much like crazed Khornites.

I was thinking of replacing the heads with these https://puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=102 and removing the backpacks or replacing them with Rubric backpacks and shaving off any Imperium or Mechanicus symbols. Maybe switch out their weapons with the Tzaangor pistol + chainswords.

Thoughts?

I really like the idea of that. The Skitarii cloaks would look bloody awesome with Thousand Sons colours and some Tzeentch iconography. I think keeping some of the normal heads would look fine, and if there’s any normal people heads to mix in with them that’d also be cool to add as much diversity as possible.

Now I just need a good source of iconogrpahy. Some little scarabs and such on the chest would be perfect.

Do the Thousand Sons transfer sheets have all that? Cause if so that’ll be perfect for you.

I believe the forgeworld ones do

Nice idea. Paint them yellow and they might look like the cyborg cultists on Ahriman's ship (can't be bothered to remember the name right now)

If you look at some of the cultist models they have ranger hoods and robes. So it would work.
