(No Title). I'm telling my girlfriend I love her, is this an okay poem to show her after?
When I questioned myself on whether I was in love with you
I reasoned that my heart couldn’t yet be trusted to say its emotions were true
When I affirmed that every piece of you was perfect
I insisted I’d been struck deaf too many times to not fear a harmony when I heard it
When I reflected on how I valued the word
I speculated that every day I waited would make it worth more once it was heard
When I accused myself of stalling
I struck one better and said, no, I simply preferred falling
Here I am
I am done falling now
this rock bottom is softer
than a weightless cloud
