Perhaps it's me or maybe the meaning of this poem is a little lost in its ambiguity.

I tend to favour poems that are short without too many wasted words, however maybe this has gone too far in the other direction.

What meaning did you take away from the piece?

I agree with the other comment on here, this is a little too ambiguous in my opinion, not a lot I can take or interpret from it to be honest. Short poems are fine so long as they give the reader something to take away, I think if you built on this a little it could be good though.

Maybe I could build on it, but the piece as it is fulfills the purpose I'm trying to convey. Did you take nothing away from it?

Definitely not nothing just a little less than I would have liked to is all

Alright, I'll play with adding to the theme. But just to ask, what did you interpret the message to be?

I picture a man, lost, maybe he’s had a really bad few weeks, lost his job gone through a break up all that stuff. I imagine him hitting rock bottom, alone and sad and just saying fuck it and letting loose for the first time in the entirety of his boring life

I do like how subjective this can be though due to its shortness

I like that it seems ambiguous so you can interpret it in a way you can relate to, personally. Many times we do not realize we are wearing shoes. Being lost...but "feeling the ground for the first time" can often times be the first step towards going anywhere...and being "found" again.

I like your interpretation!
