The o2pilot mod works. It was drinking a litre of oil per tank, 2 tanks now, not moved a bit. (M5430). Well worth it for 30 mins and 2 lengths of vacuum hose.

This means you guys are keeping the stock CCV? I really wana try this mod because i just replaced my CCV & noticed im burning more oil. Would you ever do catch can setup?

I think if I was still burning oil after the pilot mod and a fresh CCV (I did mine a couple of months ago too) I’d definitely consider a catch can, or alternatively I’d look at replacing the piston rings. The M54 engine is known for its low-tension ring design and my exhaust smokes a lot from blow by because of this.

Totally agree. My oil consumption was terrible. Pilot mod really helped me out.
Which intake outlet did you use? I went from the 7mm and used a reducer valve down to 3.5mm.
The only one with a cap on it at the bulkhead end of the Inlet manifold. I just shoved a suitable diameter pipe on it, then shoved the thinner pipe into it to connect to the diaphragm. It was hours in after swapping the whole ccv with the Inlet on so I was close to just burning it all. Lol.
