Wonderful. I'm admittedly a sucker for criticism of religion, and this one gets two birds stoned by ripping on pocket computer culture as well. I was struggling on how the image of the rosary fits into the piece, other than just as a "universally" carried trinket. Then I thought of the progression of prayer along the chain against the way people have an order or process for checking their updates/notifications/apps and I smiled. I'm curious which was your intended meaning: the object or the action?

The juxtaposition of the Catholic symbolism with the traditional mode of haiku initially scratching my head, although I found the imagery to be beautifully apt in creating a moment caught in breath. But then as I read more about traditional haiku, I realized that you've used the idea of the "cutting" and the juxtaposition of two very different ideas into something new and lovely--or in your case, kind of off-putting if read in the context of traditionalist views.

And is it just a little bit having a laugh at how many heads in a Catholic Mass, ostensibly bowed in piety, are really hiding their fealty to a new religion--the cult of the iPhone? Just a thought.

Well done. So much to think about in so few words.
