**Rose in Autumn**. Poem rhymes :-)
A revenant in a rose Candles lit, Within them: a prose Lighting up to buzz— A tedious list of woes
The wilting flowers look like embers Within their final throes, The pedals fall... No longer pleasant to the nose
Gaunt— is now the stem, Of that-ever withered rose Ever-slowly fallen, as if all of time just froze— On that one day that I remember that decision that I chose..
Golden is the autumn, I dared to you propose— Where amidst the falling leaves You left me there to be.
The violent winds of summer, Passed then like a breeze— As I felt it all was slipping; As I cowered under trees—
Where frozen there in time, Within the sepulcher of autumn—
I stole a single rose...
As winter winds begin to blow And my crime is not forgotten I see a flower wraith, A memory of you—
I see it now, how rotten. The flower stolen from the autumn,
Kept and decomposed.
