These are some friends I made when I went to Mexico. Red is a very nice girl. She’s a single, hopeless romantic, but won’t settle for someone she’s not attracted to. I wasn’t party to the conversation that sparked this off. But I can guess it had something to do with Blue seeking the affection of Red, and getting shut down.
Blue is, oh man... he’s a treat. When I met him personally, he was marinating in the stew of the NiceGuy. He’s a dorky and quirky dude. He seems physically harmless, but certainly he’s not above emotional manipulation and toxicity. I’ve seen him try to NiceGuy his way to like, two different girls in their friends group.
Green is a mutual acquaintance of theirs. I don’t know him. He seems to be trying to reason, but he comes across as too lenient IMO, and maybe with an agenda of his own.
Red: it’s incredible to see how in less than 5 minutes, you realize how a person’s poison hurts more than getting stabbed. Boys, come on, grow up and look for other aspirations.
Blue: I recognize my errors. I behaved terribly and psychotically. But I was tired of spending year after year as hikikomori (look this up. You’re not gonna like it), of not having absolutely anyone. I tried by force to find an unrequited place, in the least opportune moments. I have no justification for this.
Green: ok dude, if you don’t mind, stop trying to be the victim. First of all, it wasn’t one, or two, or three, it was multiple times you’ve messed up because of your behavior, and yanked all of us in the friends group into it. Second of all, I understand your struggle because I’ve been through the same, and worse. But i never became or acted unbearably, angry or impertinently towards the other people in the group. I always kept my distance, unlike you. Thirdly, it’s good that you recognize your mistakes and faults, but it’s too late. Just like you, I messed up in the friends group, and everything was solved in a healthy manner. I never placed myself as a victim, even when the entire group told me off after I hadn’t done anything wrong. My response and reaction that I took to that was mature: I let it go and I kept at a distance. They still had my friendship and support, and I didn’t approach the girls anymore. To avoid problems, even though I had nothing to do with your problems or my good friend Redacted, I made that decision. If people apologized, good, if they didn’t, that was ok too. I didn’t make myself out to be the victim. Be a man and think like an adult, not like an inveterate teenager.
Blue: step by step, ill get rid of the envy in my heart. It’s the only thing I can promise
