First poem! Oddly enough, /r/ShowerOrange inspired me
I'm a big poetry fan, but until now have never decided to actually attempt to write any. For whatever reason, I had the inspiration to while eating a shower in the orange. Here it is! Be as harsh as needed, this is a hobby I'd like to take up and anything helps! Even if it has a million flaws, I thoroughly enjoyed writing it.
Orange
rough, fragrant flesh
Infinitely fractile, cratered,
pried apart by seeking hands.
aroma bursts from broken skin
the flesh of god erupts into a thousand
fragments, summer memories, seconds lost
Proust is elated as i
carve out of nothing
the pieces of time
in which the I
ceases to be, and
begins instead
to melt gently,
softly, into
Everything
the reaper swoons at the sight
and carries on
