How can I avoid a declaration from subjects in alliance?

You have a couple of options:
PUs have less liberty desire than vassals. Subjects can't declare independence if you're at war. Start integrating one of your dudes, and stay at war in the meantime. Integrate subjects like this one by one and you'll eventually be too powerful to challenge. If you can form Spain diplomatically, that will help you out significantly.
Stay at war and expand the normal way, strengthening yourself while your vassals stay the same. This is not very efficient since it'll take a while to build up when you're on your own.
General advice: Don't develop vassal territory or placate piecemeal just to keep them all loyal. If you stay at war they won't be going anywhere. Hoard prestige and burst down liberty desire one at a time when you 1. can start integrating one of them, or 2. need one of them to help you in a war.
Subjects can declare if you're at war. AI seems not to do it. I did figure out I have to stay at war to stop them from declaring.
Just 40 years of constant war, no biggie.

I tried everything I could, even getting liberty desire below 25, they still declare. For now, I "solved" it by declaring war on a minor nation. It's the one solution I thought wouldn't work, because subjects can declare independence during a war according to wiki.
Subjects can only declare war during another war if their liberty desire exceeds 50
Afaik the AI will never declare an independence war while at war because of the increased stab hit.
Tunis, Byzantium, France, ally each other and declare war on me. They are all below 50% liberty desire, all almost maxed relations, I have no mothballed forts, Full army force limit at full maintenance, plus two allies above relations limit, burgundy and genoa.
Do I have to waste time beating them down? Stronger allies? Release byzantium and trucebreak?
I am playing aragon, and I no-CB'd byzantium to vassalise them. I focused on the maghreb. Saw the opportunity to release tunis who got divided and eaten to not deal with the unrest, and tunis now owns 80% of maghreb. I got a PU on castille, then a PU on france. This means that I am individually about as strong as I was 1444, but my subjects make me the strongest GP in the world before 1490. It's a struggle to keep them below 50%, lots of developing, but I only need to hold on until I can get religious ideas to convert tunis. It's just after 1500 but I already own like 40% of the provinces to form rome.
Why u so lucky ma friend, life's not fair.
The only luck part was spending an entire day waiting for france to die in to a succession war. backup_backup so castille has a regency, and a free PU on them within 10 years, then france's 60 year old ruler kept having heirs never be born for an entire day. The only luck part was france living to old age without an heir in the first place. Once I saw that, I embraced the scum.
I lol´´ d too hard.
