A Sonnet about Barbie.
The first toy I ever loved was my Barbie.
Her, like a tiny future version of myself.
By no means stupid, I answered things smartly,
But always picked Barbie over the abacus on the shelf.
Her flaxen hair and body so flawless,
I decided it then she's what beauty looks like.
Always look good and never be mall-less,
Transform me to Goddess from vain little tyke.
If I do it like Barbie I'll have it made.
There's nothing a good smoky eye can't fix.
If you look good there's nothing to be afraid.
A few pumps on a thigh master should do the trick.
But now I'm so thin and troubling heart palps are the norm.
Fuck you Mattel for this narcissistic final form.
