Alan Ball or Alan Bell

A man on the bench, is what I can tell
Striking a conversation is considered hell
the reward for such a thing was immediate gell
All the previous walls I had to fell
Produced a conversation with a man named bell

The man named Bell could also be Ball
The defences I created refused to fall
He was due for a meeting, from what I recall
"Bit of Welsh and English" he said without stall
A man of experience in the sciences of all

And after this moment I'd like to say
if you are sitting alone on a bench one day
that if a man were to sit next to you without a word
that making a conversation really wouldn't hurt.
