Mining focused feedback session officially delayed until further notice. In other news, grass is green and the sun will most likely rise and set tomorrow as well.

I still do not understand why they have to set dates just for the release of information. They obviously must have the basic ideas, and they must already be in some sort of development if they were expected this year, so why the hell is it such a secret?
FDev is weird, from my perspective. Other Dev teams seem to want to push information, even if its just something trivial to let the playerbase know something is being worked on. ForHonor is big on showing off the things they've done before they're even 100% done. But FDev seems to be the opposite. They're lips are sealed tight and only the tiniest trickle of info comes through.
I think its because the people on the frontier forums are absolute nutjobs and they don't want to hear about how every feature is ruining the game for solo players or something
Their approach reminds me of the direction that ANet has gone with GW2. In the beginning, we had early announcements about features/functionality/new stuff/dates etc and the hype train would charge it's FSD. After a few misses on dates and features being scrapped/cut, the outrage from the community was so great that it literally drove (imo) Colin to leave and they had massive shift in direction following that to be basically what frontier is now where they tell us nothing until it's basically ready to go live.

Nice. Mining is the only thing i'm looking forward to this year in Elite. This obsession of Frontier not to reveal anything exciting about this game is getting on my nerves.
Truly a sad day in videogame history..
Anyway when's the Fleet Carrier focused feedback starting?
Oddly enough, it's not listed on their schedule, only mentioned as "On a later date" in the Squadrons topic.
Why? Like you're delaying a discussion... Why? Is the whole feature getting delayed?
Perhaps they still haven't figured current Powerplay, Squadron mechanics based on feedback yet, so they don't wanna majority of players to switch to Mining feedback thread while abandoning current ones.
FDev is literally now trying to kill their playerbase this year.
Players: Frontier incompetente knows no bounds.
Frontier: "hold my beer"
It's becoming a weekly occurrence as of late...
In this case both elite and star citizen are very similar. One will never be released and the other is a "full game" but has sub par gameplay and fun factor so it still fells incomplete. Also the grind. Oh god the grind. Is like a free to play economy in a premium game, its like frontier is stuck in the 80's. This is bungie levels of incopetence and lack of communication.
I really believe brabren took the money for elite kickstarter to go corporate and now cares little for the game. Id love to be provem wrong, but i doubt i will.
Let's talk about pew pews instead, they are more exciting, right?
I really need to look around for some less combat focused space sims.
When you find one that can be played with a hotas let me know!
Unfortunately it's not a thing I look into, since I never owned one. So you might want to conduct your own search, just to be safe.

There's none of course.
I've tried playing the last alpha from Star Citizen... after an average of 15 minutes some random bug stops you from playing. It looks to be on purpose..
It's frustrating like reading these FDEV delay anouncements
Not to worry, FD is just spending time figuring out how to add combat to mining, and how to make it more PVP relevant. It's just taking a bit longer than they expected.
Sighs
A mining FF delay means that there's an exploration FF delay as well.
EDIT: I may have been wrong, as apparently only the mining FF has been delayed and not also the exploration FF.
If that was the case they would have stated both.
Yeah im p sure exploration is still on since they specified that only mining was getting a delay. Im thinking that there might have been a problem with their core design and ideas that is forcing them to redo the entire proposal
Ok, I'll concede that I'm jumping the gun on worrying about exploration FF being pushed back.
I hope it's because they are preparing the release of next update, like this week or something.
Think about it. They usually update on a Tuesday or Thursday. This was a long weekend. Thargoids are close to the heart of humanity. They give us a bonus weekend to engineer our ships. What happens as soon as the weekend is over? Tuesday. Boom, 3.2. Phase 2 of the invasion is about to start.

Also the development of the game is full of grind....
Kind of shitty that you sensationalized the headline. Wills words in the post are that it’s delayed. Not “Until further notice”. Don’t get me wrong there’s plenty to grind the devs on, but this comes off more than a little disingenuous.
Maybe I don't know what until further notice means. But the linked thread specifically says that they do not have a new date planned. Is that not a correct way to paraphrase it?
I mean you say the grass is green, but it's starting to look a little brown here.
Charred and burned more likely, yeah!
Hey kid, get your viper off mah lawn!
Someone once told me
The grass is much greener
On the other side
And I paid a visit
(Well, it's possible I missed it)
It seemed different
Yet exactly the same
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
'Til further notice
I'm in-between
From where I'm standing
My grass is green
Someone once told me
The grass is much greener
On the other side
Somebody once told me
the world is gonna roll me
I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed
She was looking kind of dumb
with her finger and her thumb
In the shape of an "L" on her forehead
