No Surprises
My smoke alarm is turned off
Batteries hang from it's dead corpse
After repeatedly beating it
My morning announcement is no longer set
I've no reason to lift an atom
My ginger some way of staying alive
A single magpie is forever sat in my garden
I've been meaning to get a person to remove it
Through classes and set dates
Red rings will be ignored
I suppose it is a long drought
Never ending serotonin deficiency
Yet never have I sought a replacement
I've been sat patiently, waiting for it to arrive
In blackened robes, I return to my corner
Filled with black holes and pillows
A distraction from my own self
I'll be gone in a little while
When the pills dilute
And the liver waves white
My alarm is not set off
The masquerading sweeties have done their job
So long, jail cell
