Turn that frown upside down

Damn I wish we had beaten Golden State. Genuinely would've been a real highlight of this decade for me

65
FarWestErosHakeem•

Highlight of the millennium for me...

(Aside from the birth of my children, of course)

25
EnigoMontoya_James Harden•

Did you just prioritize your children's birth over a possible finals appearance!?

Sheesh we just can't get enough of fake fans.

45
OctagoreThe Boss•

For real. How many children have been born since our last Finals appearance? How's he gonna say children are more important

Your wife is watching you on reddit, isn't she?

I really believe this was the year. Damn. I was 11 when the Rockets won their last title. It isn't the same. I want a title as an adult. To share it with my mom.

JabarkasMayonnaiseRockets•

At least the Astros brought it home and have a shot at repeating.

3
BrokenDusk•

What if you beaten GS but lost to Cavs ?(as it would probably happen without CP3) Would it still be worth it ?

0†
mintz41James Harden•

The Rockets without CP3 still beat the Cavs more than likely

I kinda have my doubts about that

rockets were so damn close to taking them down, sucks to watch your team not be able to get over the hump

25
bellsofwar3Rockets•

Especially knowing if Cp3 were healthy they would have. That's what hurts.

8
CRR3355Rockets•

Eh. The Warriors are so talented I wouldn't put it past them to just dial their talent up to whatever would have been needed to beat us even with CP3 despite the fact that we got 3 wins and looked good doing it.

3
bellsofwar3Rockets•

I don't think so. The Warriors looked like shit several times in the finals. Cavs couldn't capitalize. Rockets would be able to.

Rockets should be the champions if it wasn't for refs and cp3 injury

19
Bandos_BearNene•

We bricked over 20 straight threes, to be real honest

33
FarWestErosHakeem•

Sure, there were 3 paths to the victory.

That was the only one we had control over, but the other 2 are still valid.

18
jstingCapela•

Yea but if other NBA players watching the game tweet they feel the game was rigged in the Warriors favor, one could argue that led to bad shot selection.

7
e-chem-nerd•

Open 3s are not bad shot selection.

1
GahTexSam Dekker•

I mean sure that technically happened, but in reality some of those were fouled on, but there were no calls, and the only reason we were shooting 3s, was because we couldn’t get a call underneath the basket, so the Warriors would just sit there and back away whenever somebody went inside.

4†
QuotableTreeOPClutch•

The haters may say we choked but I feel like missing 20+ strait threes was an anomaly. It's not like they were playing great perimeter defense that night, we just missed. Morey ball failed us that night

1†
Bandos_BearNene•

I’d argue that missing 20 straight threes is choking

Yes it was

I agree. The WCF was the real Finals. But it was a shame that both teams weren't able to finish out the series healthy.

And the warriors won because of injuries just like they did in 2015.

7†

There are always injuries.

To the warriors playoff opponents

And potentially 2017...

As an Okie I was still rooting for you guys. Warriors just always get lucky injuries.

6
hnicgibbsFuck the Mavs•

thats what i been saying for a few months. anyone who thought the cavs had a chance is delusional. but i did think they'd win a game.

2
lethalcup•

Yeah, we all knew that and everyone was saying that before the WCF. It really saddens me to see how easily GS ran over the Cavs and how we would've probably easily ran over them as well. At least if the Cavs had won once or twice we could've said, "okay MAYBE we wouldn't have for sure beaten them." A hamstring cost us the championship but that's just sports. Get em next year.
