What other parks have you been to? Curious.

In Colorado? Not much. I was only there for a few days. I went to Roxborough Park and Boulder City Park. Had a great time.

Other than that, mostly state parks around Pa and NJ. I don't travel out of state enough. Are you looking for something for yourself? Where are you located?

I meant other National parks. You should definitely spend a few days in Yellowstone and Grand Canyon. Also 2nd beach Washington is absolutely beautiful for a few days in the ocean. I’m lucky enough to take 21 day road trips every year and my fiancé and I tent camp probably 3/4’s of the time. That being said next year were looking to go east coast, so if you have suggestions that would be amazing!

deer mountain?

Yup! I figured it was probably an easy-to-identify spot when I was uploading the photo. I was limited to three-hour hikes while I was in town. Definitely going back when I have more time.

That place is absolutely beautiful! Went there five years ago and can’t wait to go back!

How challenging is this hike? I’m heading there with my 2 year old in July and looking to do some relatively easier trails with him on my husband’s back.

Moderate. Not too challenging if you're in shape. I found it and decided upon it after looking at this page. There are some much easier hikes listed.

On Deer Mountain, I saw a guy with two nine- or ten-year-old boys. Also, as I normally pick up garbage while hiking, I found a baby's pacifier at the summit. Take that for what it's worth.

Excellent, thank you!

Thanks!

This was with my cell phone. I have others with my DSLR that I haven't edited yet. One of them, while not great, is of the mother bear I saw.

Rocky Mountain National Park’s 415 square miles encompass and protect spectacular mountain environments. Enjoy Trail Ridge Road – which crests at over 12,000 feet including many overlooks to experience the sub alpine and alpine worlds – along with over 300 miles of hiking trails, wildflowers, wildlife, starry nights, and fun times. In a world of superlatives, Rocky is on top!

I read that somewhere before.
