Prestige Spire of Stars has been completed

Discussion

I'm not seeing any insight into the race for first completion of this Prestige, (I searched /dtg) so I went to Raid.Report for some intel. Several teams have finished by now, but this team was first so congrats to them:

  • Incerae
  • Balla
  • EtherPanda
  • Noviq
  • Sotosolice
  • Alex

Something to put on the resume for sure.

Incerae is trash at uno, I’d beat him again.

Does the first chest drop the 400 LL weapons? As in, if we can't beat the final boss yet is it worth doing the first part at all?

Does doing the prestige raid/raid lairs drop both normal and prestige loot?

asking for a friend.. that is me.

Nope. Final chest.

Doing prestige drops both regular and prestige loot, like Leviathan.

Only the last boss drops 400, but every chest drops powerful and can drop telesto catalyst. Source: Beat it last night

SoS has Sleeper catalyst, EoW has Telesto catalyst, and Leviathan has Acrius. They can drop from any encounter chest in the raid.

Yeah I only was thinking about EoW. Thanks

No worries. Was only commenting so others that didn't know could see it.

380

370, the people saying 380 just don’t know how to handle adds.

Obligatory "OVER 9000!" comment

Edit: I deserve the downvotes. But if somebody does know the answer to the question I am also curious..

What does the armor look like?

That's because no one really cares about worlds first on these. The people that watch streamers might but I had little to no interest in these "worlds first" chases because there was nothing new to overcome other than being forced into a loadout with limited ammo. New mechanics would have made it more interesting to watch, but this was super boring and I personally could not care less.

with how mechanically based the lair already is, MORE would've just made it that much more inaccessible and undesirable to play. It's a short, sweet raid encounter that, I feel, is enriched by changed HOW you do it vs WHAT you do in it.

"I don't care so no one else cares"

I never said that, but thanks for putting words in my mouth.

When I say "No one really cares" it means I have not seen a single post about Prestige Spire of Stars before this one. None of my friends are talking about it, and its not even got a thread on the front page announcing that it went live. It is not that same fanfare as new raids. That is un-debatable.

But I appreciate your attempt to make me look like an ass.

i don't disagree with that. I think to some extent Bungie felt similar, but with enough feedback from the community they decided to stagger the release of the Prestige Lairs to open up opportunities for lesser known players to get a shot at a bit of prestige.

Again, there were great teams going into this, so the race was still against a solid field, even if people werent watching/paying attention/caring

There are already enough mechanics in SoS

These mods are essentially new mechanics

being forced into a loadout with limited ammo

And when the bosses are killed mostly with stacked supers, this doesn't have a huge effect.

Right, because the boss is the only enemy you have to kill in the entire fight. Come on man.

I agree with you there is nothing new to overcome. Arsenal throws the only real wrench in the gears here but once you are used to it, it really is not so bad.
