i've always loved ambient music whenever i've heard it but never got around to seeking it out. i'm a complete novice when it comes to the scene, but after having PAN's "mono no aware" compilation on repeat i'd like to find more music in the same vein.
recommendations for dj's, podcasts, labels, radio shows, etc. would be gladly appreciated!! <3

Are you looking for something specific? More Drone/Noise? New-Age? Dark Ambient?
Some Artists: Alessandro Cortini, Rafael Anton Irisarri, Wilson Tanner, Gigi Masi, Ariel Kalma, William Basinski, D.Å.R.F.D.H.S., Tim Hecker, Lawrence English, Roly Porter, Paul Jebanasam, Ben Frost, Ryo Murakami
Some Labels: Room40, Subtext, Lullabies for Insomniacs, Bedouin Records,
Some of my favorites:
Time Hecker - Ravedeath, 1972
Televangel- We Dream of Drones
Lorn - A/D
2814 - Birth of a New Day
Remember - ルートバックホーム
Carbon Based Lifeforms - Twentythree (love all their stuff but this is the most straight ambient of their catalog)
Eluvium - Talk Amongst The Trees
I 2nd that 2814 album.
They really create their own world on that one, it was unlike anything I’d heard up to that point
check out GAS, Gaussian Curve, Oneohtrix Point Never, 1991
You should check out Chris SSG's RA Podcast, and Jenus's IA Mix :)
Silent Season is my favorite ambient label.
Autechre - Amber is my favorite ambient album. It has a fair share of percussion in it, though. Same for Boards of Canada.
Check out this Mix with some of the best ambient pieces from BoC https://www.mixcloud.com/antspodcast/ants-podcast-0125-ambient-boards-of-canada-rarities/

I'm sure you have, but if you havent heard the Aphex Twin Selected Ambient Works.
Nosaj Thing is more ambient/soundscape but v good
I'd recommend Lee Gamble's album Koch (also released on PAN). It has really nice sweeping urban atmospherics and a kind of dystopian edge.

Some of my favs. I have a Spotify playlist I can dm you if you want :)
Huerco S., Visible Cloaks, Vladislav Delay, William Basinski, Loscil, Brian Eno, Yagya, Jan Jelenek, Jakob Kierkegaard, Dasha Rush
New Rafael Toral reissues on Drag City are worth checking out.
Rainforest Spiritual Enslavements album Ambient Black Magic is pretty nice or for example Luigi Tozzi's Deep Kind Of Blue Albums are amazing. If you want older stuff check for example Pete Namlook + Ritchie Hawtin or stuff from Luke Slaters alias 7th Plain.
All I gotta say is Giegling.
Perila from Berlin Community Radio has incredible ambient sets.
Otherwise check Tim Hecker, Huerco S, and perhaps Laurel Halo's newest album or her older stuff.
thank you :)
Yea Carla Del Forno too.
