Her Vision
Her Vision:
Scanning the horizon; eyes most well trained.
Searching; seeking. Each detail picked apart.
This ceaseless task. Just what is to be gained?
Well, you see, she is plotting out her art.
A dreary place, full of most burdensome task.
A twisted landscape. Confusing. Unclear.
Yet she seeks out small beauty: in it she basks.
I’ve been hunting paradise, maybe its here.
Her canvas is the world. Camera, her brush.
Recreated most perfectly each time.
Reality improved; beauty found in life’s mush.
Captured with care. Memories made sublime.
For me to bear witness to her witnessing,
Is to gloss my own view in new finishing.

(This is a repost, as I was unfamiliar with the rules of this sub. Thank you for the person who provided feedback earlier! This is a sonnet, but the variations in meter are purposeful. Sometimes I find being strict too limiting, though I understand this could be seen as a copout.)
