Grieving with Godzilla
A valley full of graves
When the Japanese do something
they do it to the nth degree
Whether it's flower arranging,
or fascism, or burying the dead
The Sun was settling down
Almost closing time
Only one other group here
On the other side
'Yoshio' his sister calls
'We're all here'
We're not exactly family
But minds can bond better than blood
Fresh flowers in my childish hands
Dad lights the incense
In front of a stone slab
One amongst so many thousands
Somber feeling, but
In the taxi home
The animated Godzilla of the GPS
Can't help but make me smile
When he gets bored in traffic
He picks up a car and starts eating it
I'll never be a part of this country
But I'll keep this memory with me
