Errant Thoughts

Errant thoughts daren’t quaff
The piss trough
Of intoxicated delusions,
Cherished effusions of
How things are and how things ought
To Be 

Verbal Veils obscure mind pure
Experiential pain
Phonetic faraday cage shields external signals

My mind’s eye
Might sigh
Whilst I write white lies

Cerebellum belligerent
Cortical hijack
Begging for Xanax to smash panic attacks,
An addict’s bad habits

Obsessive compulsive manic depressive impulse

Obstinate consonants
Obfuscate Sensations
Of gun confiscation
And tax audits

Insidious visions inculcate fission
Of ghost from vessel,
A nameless kestrel
Instigates division
With an insipid pidgeon’s 
Chicken-shit-piston-system

A lone boat floats past Roanoke
