Resignation

Irritated and frustrated,

I procrastinated and hesitated.

Contemplated being indoctrinated,

By this subordinate I’d been designated.

Resigned to my resignation.

The indignation of my condemnation,

During the condescension of that conversation.

The celebration of my final realisation.

/

As it grew late I could hardly wait.

After berating a former ‘mate’.

I skated right through that gate,

And went straight home to celebrate.
