A Shadow

When night crept in,

With world unawakened

And raw lights which scorched its very essence fading;

It passed into us.

Made us who we are.

Humans.

Those vile and despicable creatures.

As pure as the void we are all baptised in.

Even when we walk by day,

It follows...

Waiting to control us.

Awaiting its time.

You should realise, though,

We never had control.
