Acceleration [Feedback Request]

I’m a first time poster and extremely new to poetry trying to get my foot in the door and looking for criticism for one of my pieces. Also on mobile so excuse the links/any formatting errors

I’m driving 50 down Texas ave
I can’t figure out if I’m speeding to get away or to catch up
I go faster
My surroundings are a blur while I fixate on the road ahead
I only see the pavement in front of me out of focus from my blurry teary vision
I’m driving 70
I’m gasping for air, choking back screams
Accelerating until I’m going the speed of my thoughts
Red light
Slam breaks
Exhale
