Delightful

Tonight, I will write,
a delightful poem.
Full of frightfully bright insights.
It will be light-hearted,
In spite of my contrite mood.
I will type by lamp light,
Until my sight blurs.
If my creative might dwindles,
I’ll fight despite it.
I’ll write just to spite it.
I’ll write til’ I feel something alright.
