Complications of Hate
Pause to take moments for victims of hate,
the terrified few who passed to donate
their lives to a cause that little believe;
the bigoted movements that hurt as they heave.
Religions are used as excuses for war
by people usurping their once sacred lore.
Prophets would weep at the deeds in their name,
they came to spread peace but instead receive blame.
For it isn’t the parables, the psalms, or the texts,
it isn’t the words that cause these effects,
It’s the men that command, or preach for their ego,
that thrive on unrest, like blood for mosquitos
“here is the enemy, from this foreign land,
subjection and fear is what they demand.
Soldiers with guns are crossing our borders,
with malice in mind, and want for disorder”
But these are just words, no actual perspective,
the crimes committed must be looked at subjective:
Most “soldiers” are children, lost and alone,
fed falsified facts, and convinced to atone,
The “borders” in place were built upon fear
but our world is now smaller than it was yesteryear,
And the “malice in mind” was not formed at birth
it is but little more than a skewed sense of self worth
So pause before jumping to conclusions unfounded,
look at the facts, make your argument rounded.
Life would be simple with a world black and white
but its not, we’re all grey, and this parity’s our might
