jesus christ, some people have no idea what laws actually mean...
listened to 2 idiots this morning praising the new legal pot laws and how awesome it's going to be to work high all day "because it's legal and they can't do shit about it..."

The same type of fools who vote because of buck a beer. They pay zero attention to the details.
Wait, do you mean I cant be drunk all day when the buck a beer comes into play? I gotta stop smoking weed all day, Im missing the details.....
FTFY
How do you feel about the fools who voted for legal weed?
Edit: oh, I'm in canadients...little but of a skewed demographic haha
30 000 Canadian citizens wont be suffering a criminal charge each year. That is about freedom and liberty.
That is a change that should have happened decades ago.
Yes but how many people are going to get slapped with unfair impaired driving charges instead of possession?
Probably at least a few, until the gov't gets their shit together on a way to properly test for it, but there are already laws in place for that. "Impaired" driving could be applied to anyone, even those not on any substance as the laws stand now. You could be simply tired because you didn't get enough sleep the night before, and still be charged. You can also be charged for impaired driving for being drunk and simply having your car keys in your possession without any intention on driving. There is already a lot of wiggle room for the police to make your life hell if they want.
Trying to make a law that prohibits things if you have X amount of THC (or any other drug) in your system is always going to have problems, but it's in every ones best interest if we can sort out something standardized that works while minimizing the bias and wiggle room a cop may be able to use against you.
Unlikely. Time will tell.
Sure, but how many people do you think voted just for legal weed, and nothing else? I'm guessing lots.
Massive social change affecting at least 5 million Canadians. For sure some people voted Liberal because of it.
Legal weed was certainly a perk, but anything to get Harper out.
🙋🏻‍♂️I did!
Wouldn't the proper analogy be if one voted for cheap weed? Voting to repeal a harmful alcohol ban isn't the same as voting for cheap beer.
So edgy bro
Don't matter who you voted for, the cons. will not be able to turn away from the tax revenue generated. The cats out of the bag.
You seriously this bored dude? I don't get people like you. Why are you even on this sub?
No I'm just genuinely curious. We have people criticizing Ford for dropping the price of beer but meanwhile our PM got voted in basically because of legal weed...just a funny one way criticism that I so often.
Maybe it's because of the obvious social problems that come with alcohol vs marijuana. The two aren't even close to compare.
Sorry but you're nuts if you think JT got in only because he (not even him but the liberal party agenda for years prior) promised to legalize pot. lol
Don't forget that Pierre Trudeau's fucking drama teacher son beat out Stephen Harper for the PM's office, while gaining 148 and the conservatives lost 60...Numbers like that aren't held by only pot heads dude. lol

Happy cake day, though! :)
Thanks!
