Today

Today is a terrible day

I feared today

Ever since yesterday

Same as I fear tomorrow

I have alway been told to live in today

But still I am captive to yesterday's memories

Maybe I should come to accept today with open arms

Maybe I should succumb to the fears of tomorrow

Maybe I should focus on the pains of yesterday

Maybe I’ll just sit idle as today passes me by
